Lake Highland’s Matt Stover opoened the scoring in Super Bowl XLIV for Indianapolis with a 37-yard field goal. Southlake Carroll’s Garrett Hartley answered with a 46-yard field goal for New Orleans to cut the Indianapolis lead to 10-3 with 9:34 left in the first half.

The Saints used a personal foul penalty on Indianapolis and some solid catching and running by Pierre Thomas to get down the field, but Dwight Freeney, who did not practice all week because of an ankle injury, bull-rushed Jermon Bushrod to get to Drew Brees for the first sack of the game and end New Orleans’ touchdown threat.
