It is really starting to feel more summer-like in South Mississippi as high humidity has really moved in with dew points in the upper 60s to lower 70s today. With the high humidity it will feel a few degrees warmer than what it actually is outside. Highs this afternoon will be in the mid to upper 80s, but it will feel like it is in the upper 80s to lower 90s under a mostly clear sky. With so much sunshine our UV Index is very high, so be sure to wear plenty of sunscreen. This evening our temperatures will fall to the 60s across much of the area with some spots staying in the 70s and patchy fog developing for the morning hours. As we move throughout the morning the fog will mix out with temperatures rising into the 80s for the afternoon under a partly cloudy sky. The humidity won’t be going anywhere, not only for today, but for the next several days with temperatures each day staying in the 60s to 70s for lows and 80s to near 90 for highs for the next 7 days. For the end of the week and into the weekend our rain chances return and pick up as high pressure has less of an influence over our area.
