Another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms will roll through Mississippi today. Showers will begin isolated in the morning and become more scattered by early afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will not be as abundant as yesterday, but many places will still see rain. Clouds stay with us overnight, but our chances of rain lessen once the sun goes down. Monday scattered thunderstorms will cover most of the state. Any rain we see on Tuesday will stay primarily south of I-20. A low pressure stationed around Texas and Oklahoma as well as the remnants of post tropical depression Beatriz will keep our rain chances high through Tuesday. Temperatures will stay in the low 80s for most of the week before warming up by next weekend. After Tuesday, clouds open back up to sunny skies for several days. However, rain chances return next week.
